Architect N. Lvov much contributed to the architecture of Saint Petersburg and province. Monumental Nevsky Gates of Peter and Paul Fortress were built upon his project. Strict portico with pair columns, crossed with giant granite blocks correspond to a severe appearance of the fortress wall.
