Close to the Small Hermitage there is situated the monumental building of the Old Hermitage constructed upon the project of the famous maestro of the early classicism J. Felten (1730-1801). His projects represent another rendering of classical motives. Facade of the Old Hermitage free from an order, deprived of almost any sculptural elements, is distinguished by a strict beauty.
