Description
The character of a Moscow house after the Fire considerably changed. Small houses slowly succeded big town mansions and houses-palaces of the Kazakov period. House of prince Gagarin is fairly referred to the number of classical examples of town mansions of that type. All the elements of a town mansion are preserved in miniature in the planning of the lot aтв ща the building. The architecture of this construction is marked with beauty and perfection of a unique composition of the facade. A small and cozy wooden mansion preserving planning and decoration of interiors burnt down because of a bomb in 1941.
